Everyone has experienced the moment where everything in his or her life feels as if it’s out of control. If this does not happen to you, maybe you aren’t a human being :). I honestly think the process occurs when we overthink things. We tend to create problems out of things that are not as serious or weren’t even in our brains to begin with.
Like sometimes I wish, I could cut off the piece of brain that continues to over think. Like it’s very hard to get out of the stage of over thinking. I believe that we as human beings overthink things and create our flaws. We start to think that our body images, hair, skin tone, or mental state is not right because we start to think things are wrong with us. Instead of us thinking of what could go right or what can be right, we think about all the negative things going on. We think about the worst things that can occur. Sometimes the thought can be positive, but we find every way possible to find the negative aspects of it.
I feel like there are ways where we can step away from overthinking things. When thinking about something, put it into a wider perspective. Is it really going to matter to you in 2 weeks or 2 months? Yeah, maybe not. Use that time and energy you are using on thinking on doing something that matters to you. Give yourself 30 to 45 seconds to make a decision. If you can’t make a decision within that time, guess what? It’s not that important. Become a person that takes action and not just speak about it. Making small steps to accomplish something is better than just saying you will do it. Listen Linda, everything can’t be under your control, and so you have to learn how to accept the situation for what it is. Another thing, when overthinking tell yourself not to over think, or doing something that will take your mind off of it. Omg, this maybe the best advice I give to you all about overthinking. Working out has been my best friend when I am in the over thinking process. It helps me put my life on pause and think things through carefully. It allows you to let go of inner tensions and worries. Also think about the present time, don’t think about the past or the future. The past has already happened so you can’t change anything about it. The future well you can create that, but if you not focusing on the present how will you get to the future. Last but not least; surround yourself around people that do not overthink things. The people you hang around define and impact you.
I understad that overthinking is something that is very hard to deal with, but take everything step by step.
